Beautiful apartment with a gorgeous sea view! It was nicely furnished and had its own private carpark lot. We asked for a mini heater in the room as the air conditioning/heater unit was in the living room and we were afraid of the cold. Laura responded promptly and sent someone to deliver it to us that afternoon. She also promptly informed us when the room was ready and updated us about how the restaurant nearby was closed so we could make alternative meal plans. The husband loved this accommodation so much that he wants it for his retirement home!

Decent room for price paid for 1 night. Bed on older side but slept well, quiet, and reasonably clean. Manager was also barkeep for the restaurant so bought a cold beer to take to my room.

A lovely beach with a cafe/shop/restaurant so ideal for families. Easy to reach nugget point from there. Bear in mind it’s at the eastern end of the Catlins so if you want to explore places further west, eg Curio Bay, you will have quite a drive. On the other hand Balclutha is only a 15 min drive which is handy for stores and food shopping.

Beautiful location and very close to Nugget Point Lighthouse which is a must see for all travellers. Would have liked to stay longer and try swimming. The beaches looked very inviting. Clifftop views around the lighthouse are breathtaking

Lovely location, close to Nugget point. The local cafe was lovely. No petrol stations, nowhere to get breakfast you have to travel to balclutha or Owaka for breakfast if you don’t self cater. Great place to locate yourself while in the catlins

Stunningly beautiful with Sandy beaches and sea lions. Just a fabulous area not to be missed for nature lovers. Short drive to the nuggets and roaring beach with a chance to see the yellow eyed penguins. (Dawn /dusk) but bring bino’s.

Really peaceful place - great accommodation, host, garden and beach view - thoroughly recommended- if you’re on a road trip take 2 or 3 days to unwind here - take food to cook if going on a Sun or Mon as restaurant in town currently shut then- we thought that would bother us but with a good kitchenette and views to die for from the dining table and the outside furniture we were VERY happy staying ‘home’

A lovely spacious apartment. Very clean and comfortable with amazing views. A pub restaurant within a couple of minutes walk but not open on a Monday. We were there on a Monday!! Beautifully furnished, clean, modern bathroom, plenty of tea and coffee, towels etc. The view from the apartment was stunning. We watched a sea lion on the beach one evening. We kept the curtains open at night so we could see the nighttime sky. It was just a short walk down to the beach. Wish we had stayed longer. Everything was perfect and even better than that.

The room was nice and spacious, and well set up. It was well situated in the Catlins to visit and explore the attractions on offer. Being in Kaka Point it was nearby the only Restaurant in the area.
