Hotel Greenside Texel, hotel in De Koog

The intimate Hotel Greenside Texel is located on the edge of the picturesque village of De Koog, 10 minutes walking from the North Sea beach.

My dog was able to come with us and there was a little gift basket for him. We booked a room with a “backyard” so having that as an option is great. SPA is a stretch but indeed had a great time in the sauna. What I really enjoyed though is how clean it is overall. What is more, the area that the hotel is built around is perfect for walks, there’s a forest not far from it as well.

De Koog has a smaller town with fewer high street shops than the main centre of Texel (Den Berg) but it has enough. The advantage is that De Koog is next to the beach (the main centre of Texel isn't). In De Koog there is a good variety of quality restaurants. It is ideal for beach walks, cycling and walking in the forest.

Great little resort town, with all the amenities one would like, including bars, restaurants, a large supermarket and, of course, many places to stay at. The Italian gelato is a highlight, but nothing compares to the beautiful beaches!

De Koog is a village on the island Texel.

De Koog is a village on the island Texel. It has access to the beach, a busy village center, with shops and many restaurants, cafe's, and terraces. Discover the whole of the island by any means you like. Walking, cycling, or even by car even though you probably have to walk or bike to go places in nature where the car can't go. Unless you just want to spend your time on terraces and beaches, which is perfectly doable on Texel.

I stayed for two nights. The breakfast was good but not good as I expected. The room was clean and have a great view to the city. In addition the location of the hotel was the best you could reach to the beach by 10 min walk. I have ordered the birthday decoration but they only gave me two balloons and a chocolate. I embarrassed in front ofy wife. Because I wanted to surprise her which I did but other way around. I ask for slippers which is normally free and included in the hotel but I have been charged for 2.50 euro. The room service was not good they only clean the bathroom and probably do vacuum cleanings and bearly tiding the bed. Even the towels did not changed.

A great hotel on Texel with a relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and beautiful design! Our room was comparably large, had a beautiful view across the countryside and a bathtub. We loved the breakfast (many options, scrambled eggs, fresh bread etc.) - one of the best we ever had in a hotel. Dinner was also very delicious! Kids take pleasure in the trampoline and we also highly recommend both the wonderful wellness area as well as the beautiful bar. Plus, you can charge your electric car right in front of the hotel. We will definitely return.

Recently renovated structure, great location, e-bikes available for rent directly with the hotel, sauna and great dinner. It was a perfect week end getaway, we biked around the island, came back to the hotel at sunset and went straight to the sauna before getting ready for dinner, and then sitting by the fire. The view from the room was great so I look forward to coming back in the summertime and sit in the patio outside the room with a book.

Great location, close to everything and still quiet. I wanted to point out the excellent staff, we arrived at the island by the last ferry at 21:30, I wrote to them that we were late and they were waiting to welcome us even though the check-in time is until 21:00. The breakfast was exceptional, with fresh fruits and vegetables. It is recommended to rent a bike at the hotel, leave the car in the parking lot and explore the island by bike.

The host was amazing. She really did everything to make sure we feel welcome and taken care of. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Room was not big, but for us with a little child sufficient with a nice terrace. We really enjoyed our 3 days at the island. We liked the fact that the hotel was within walking distance from the main street - yet at the same time not where everybody else is.

Very very very nice people, we felt very welcomed. This feels good. Nice atmosphere. Breakfast very good. Room is somehow small, but fine. Notice: the rooms facing the street are a bit noisy. Important: parking is included, which is pretty necessary. I would recommend a stay in this hotel and would come back. Price is o.k. (Town Centre / near the beach).

The Bed & Breakfast is walking distance from the beach. Perfect location for a summer vacation. It's also right around the corner from the main shopping street in De Koog, as well as tons of restaurants. Henk Jan is a great host who makes you feel welcome right away. I look forward to returning to stay at his B&B in the future!

Our four person apartment was nicely sized with a good central space for gathering in the living room, dining table and kitchen. Nice furniture and kitchen supplies, we were able to cook a few meals. Wifi worked throughout the apartment. Check-in was very easy at the hotel next door and the staff were helpful.
